History

Creation of BioD (2008): BioD emerged from the initiative of 13 visionary Colombian companies committed to transforming the perception and use of genuinely sustainable products.

2008

Implementation of Risk Management System (2012): The Risk Management System is implemented to ensure the safety of our employees and the environment.

2012

Start of GPTW Measurement (2013): The first GPTW measurement is carried out in the organization as part of the commitment to the happiness and well-being of employees.

Launch of the Innovation System (2016): We began the era of innovation with the launch of the Top Down and Bottom Up system and processes.

2016

Organizational Culture Evolution (2016): We adopted the Accountability culture as a fundamental part of our identity.

2016

New Production Plant (2016): We inaugurated the Premium Biodiesel plant, with 100% Colombian engineering.

Focus on Quality and Customer (2016): We prioritize product quality, customer service and ISO-9001, ISO-14001 and OSHAS -18001 quality certification.

First Sustainability Certification (2017): We obtained the first RSPO sustainability certification, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Building a Philosophy (2018): We launched our philosophy “First and foremost, everyone should benefit” along with identity elements, including the concept of true sustainability.​

2018

Premium Gold Biodiesel (2019): Driven by our philosophy, we launched the extraordinary Premium Gold Biodiesel to the market, representing a significant evolution in our products.

2019

Voluntary Blends (2019): In collaboration with allies, we achieved a significant contribution to the protection of the air and the health of Colombians by increasing the percentage of biodiesel of Coordinadora’s vehicle fleet, thus reducing emissions associated with the use of diesel fuels.

2019

ISCC Certification (2019): We achieved ISCC certification, validating the traceability of our processes and confirming the sustainability of our first and second generation biodiesel, with a positive impact on the environment.

Renewal of the Purpose and Innovation System (2022): In 2022, we renewed our Purpose: “We Drive Renewable Solutions to Create a Sustainable Future”, and accordingly, we are in a continuous and accelerated process of growth and diversification into new domestic and international markets.

Launch of Carbon Neutrality Declaration 2035 (2023): Our conscience led us to make our Bio Neutrality 2035 Self-declaration.

2023

Expansion of Installed Capacity and New Refinery (2023): Contributing to the country’s energy transition and care for the environment, we inaugurated a new refinery. This allows us to expand our capacities and the availability of our biodiesel. – Oscar Bernal

2023

Creation of BioGlobal Corporation (2025): We consolidated our organizational evolution with the creation of BioGlobal Corporation, integrating the subsidiaries BioEssenza and BioInco to drive diversification and the sustainable growth of the group.
